What do you think of goose kites?

Has anyone ever used them?
I was considering buying them to bring wary birds in for a closer look but wanted to hear from someone who has used them.

I understand what you are saying about injuries affecting the opposite side. My dad shot a 5 X 1 last year. He had 5 nice points on one side and grew a weird spike on the other...likely an injury.

Buy a rangefinder, the distance with a laser is the same as the distance your arrow has to travel, thus you will never find a problem shooting from tree stands (assuming your form is not to blame)....
