The first time I ever went there I had fifty bucks to spend. I told my wife that it was like going to a fire with an eye dropper of water.

Cabela's is one heck of an "EVIL PLACE". LOL I've probably been down to the one in Owatonna 10 times and never have left without buying something. Dang them!! I have their credit card, so that drags me down there twice a year to jump on the customer appreciation weekends. Evil I tell you

I have spent way too much time and money at the Cabelas that opened up here in PA....especially since it is only 20 minutes away...

Being new to the sport and needing to "gear up" I ended up spending a ridiculous amount of money at Cabelas' last year. Trying to find hunting gear and any real winter clothing in the Los Angeles area is an exercise in frustration. Add to that my need to order several different versions or sizes of some things (boots, jackets) to see which fit best. The UPS guy made a lot of deliveries! If I had it to do over again I would've gotten a cheap ticket from LA to Kansas City and spent the weekend shopping at the Kansas City store.
