Default How much more will this buck grow before the fall?

I saw this buck last night on one of my farms that I hunt. I captured him on video, not still camera so I took a picture of him off the tv...thus the awful clarity. I would guess him to be pushing 130" right now as a typical 10 pt. How much more do you think he would grow considering the antlers don't begin hardening up until the end of August or beginning of sept here?

Hard to say goosie, so much of it will depend upon his genes and diet, he will certainly gain some in tine length and mass, he might get up to about 140-145, but who knows if everything is right he might get over 150.

It would be difficult to determine, but I would think between 145 and 160 is possible. Great looking deer!

Thanks for the replies guys. I was thinking he would reach at least 150 since he has at least a month of growing left and maybe even some more. I have seen other mature bucks in the area that are 3-4 years old right now and they don't have nearly that much growth yet. They still have a lot of growing to do so I am hoping this guy will too.

I don't know how much larger he'll grow but my guess is about 25%. Remember that he isn't a big as it appears. The velvet gives the illusion of greater mass and length than is really there.

Is it hunting season yet????????

Thanks for the responses guys. I appreciate hearing anyone's thoughts even if they are just guesses. I am surprised how few people have responded...just take a guess and hopefully I will be able to tell you just how much bigger he got come Oct 1

Hard to reply to that pic. Could be a great deer, could be a cull.

I would say 140-150 hard to say without better clarity, either way he'll get your heart goin.
