Camo finish

I can't seem to find what finish comes on the Q2XL. In the 2002 catalog it only says that its "available in preexisting camo color". This is an extremely easy question for anybody that has the bow,...

RE: Hey black knight 2 owners

I also have a 29" draw. I am able to use 27" Ics Hunters with 100 grain heads because I have the MZE which is an overdraw as well. These arrows work out to be 406 grains with 4" vanes.

1:00 (opposite to the right) ?

Rangeball,

I am planning on purchasing a new bow soon. I'm just waiting till Mathews 2003 models come out so I can compare with Bowtech and make my decision. Right now I'm leaning towards the...

Increasing KE

I have a PSE Nova that's 3 years old. It has the dual energy wheels currently with a 29.5" draw set at eighty pounds (the limbs are bottomed out in the pockets). I recently put it through a...

Mathews Limb Availability

I am planning on buying a Q2XL for hunting. The catalog says that draw weights are available up to 70 pounds. I prefer shooting at 80. Is it possible to order this bow at 80 pounds or am I going to...

RE: Safety Belt ....different choices???

I agree with Ausie-guy. Seat O The Pants is a good safety harness/climbing belt. I like using the climbing rope to hold me against the tree as i hang stands. As FLHunter said, I leave the leg straps...

Bowtech Black Knight 2 ?

After the season this year I think I'll buy a new bow. It looks like Bowtech would definitely be a company worth giving a try. I am leaning toward the Black Night 2, but have also given thought to...

RE: Fletching Adhesive

I use AAE fastset gel on my carbons and FletchTite on aluminum with vanes. If using feathers, I use BondTite on both aluminum and carbon.

Make sure you clean the shafts well !

RE: Is this sight worth the $.

I think the Copper John looks like a nice sight too. I've heard many good things about them. The bright pin guard is a nice feature. I'm buying one to put on after the season is over. Don't dare to...

RE: whisker buiscuit accurate??

I've never liked the idea of running my broadheads through the whiskers. Don't want to damage the whiskers (probably doesn't anyway but I dont want to take a chance).

I dont see why you would want...

RE: whisker buiscuit accurate??

The WB definitely has less parts than drop aways, but I dont care for the idea of having to run my arrow backward through the WB to nock it...

It is a nice hunting rest because of its ability to...

RE: Thoughts on Helicals?

I'm shooting the Muzzy Zero effect so I've got the clearance problem fixed. The vanes do have a helical not an offset. I fletched them in a right wing clamp.(It was difficult to keep all edges of the...

RE: Improving Hunting Setup

Thanks JDoyle

You think it is worth adding the NV system on top of the limb savers already installed? I think I will definitely add the leeches.

Improving Hunting Setup

How else can I make my setup better for hunting? Any ideas? It shoots quite well and is relatively quiet (although you can never have too quiet). I thought of adding PSE limb bolt shock absorbers...

RE: KE Question

Before switching to the ICS 340 I was using GGII 2315's @ 31". As you could imagine this was an extremely slow setup. I bottomed out my pockets to gain a little velocity.

When I switched over to...

RE: Gluing inserts in carbon arrows?

I agree. All of my hunting broadheads are used when originally installing the inserts. The inserts can then be lined up with the fletching for a while till the epoxy sets. (If you are picky about...

RE: best vanes and glue for W.B.?

I agree with jetblast. The AAE vanes with fastdet gel are definitely the fastest and easiest way to fletch carbons. The only problem with the AAE vanes is that they are less durable. Generally after...

RE: MZE or other drop away rests?

No, you can't use the Muzzy Drop-Away with the legacy. The rest uses the upper cable guard slide to raise the rest when drawn. Without a cable guard to put the muzzy slide onto it wont work.
