RE: Black bear with a bow????

Taz,
Keep the shot low. There is nothing of value on the high side of a bear. Mostly fat on the very top. Use the guide of the line thru the mid section and half way back. Making a cross. Hit the...

RE: Bear Attractactants

I've used a combination of the above. I use liquid smoke by it's self as a attract scent and a cover scent. I use a mixture of Anise, Vanilla, Almond extract. It is very powerful you may want to...

RE: Judging Distance?

My first years of Bowhunting, After setting up my stand I will pace off or measure any of the distances: 10 yds, 20 yds, 30 yds, then mark them a couple different ways, Either with colored tape or a...

RE: stand height??

I would limit myself to about 15 feet because that was all the steps I had for my hang-on stand. I just got a climber and would go to 20 feet and what a difference? Deer will scan the trees but not...

RE: Please will everyone take a look

I use a 243 win. You have alot of distance if needed? and very controlled damage-enterance and exit. Flat tragectory, I have never tracked a deer more than about 70 yards using this rifle.

RE: barometric pressure indicates deer activity?

I have used this as a tool. More as seeing if a front is coming in or going out. I have found that as a storm front is coming and the barometer drops the deer will move. then they hang tight if it's...

RE: Need advice from ALL of you! help me!

If you are using a rifle you are plenty close. even if you are using a bow you are close enough to watch the deer movments. A word of caution deer will pattern hunters just as we try to pattern them....
