I would go with a .17 I have a henry golden boy and shot 17gr. v maxs out of it yotes out to 150 yards are dead. I shot one at 75 yards and it looked like a 243 blasted it.

I live in ND and hunt 17,840 acrs that I farm. 12,000 of crop land and very little woods and 5,840 acrs of grazin land for my cattle. As long as you dont shot my cows or make a mess it dont bother me...

You can use a lab but most of them will just flush and not point the bird. I have hunted over alot of them I like my Britt more because he dose point but labs do a very good job upland bird hunting...

I would say it is to much. If ur a sharp shooter a 150 yeard shot with a 22 should not be to hard. I hunt with a guy that was a sniper in vietnam and he kills them 100 yeards with no scope.

I would say just easier for them that way. I have cut deer with my dad for 5 years he has been doing it for 40 years and we do 150-250 deer a year just in our little shop and he is very good people...
