you can also gather leaves, pine needled from the surroundingt area you are hunting, bring it home and boil it in water and use a funnel and make your own scent cover in a spray bottle. Ive done that...

Id go with the cva elite, its a blackpowder/centerfire combo rifle. The .50cal Mler barrels are accurate as hell. $400 for a 50cal muzzleloader/ 30-06 centerfire combo. Extra barrels are also cheap....

50 yards. Im not sure whats up with the jugs but #2 jug popped right up in the air and came apart. 1 & #3 jugs just had holes and tears.

These powerbelts even held up when i was shooting my .50...

While i was trying out the 200 grain REAL bullets, i took 2 powerbelts out and set up 3 milk jugs full of water and set a 5" thick log behind all the jugs and fired a 225 grain powerbelt driven by 50...

well not to bad, 50 yards with 50 grains T7 and the 200 grain real bullet. Measured 1 1/4" groups. Im going to clean the rifle and try the real's with the glued on wads and see how those do. Right...

Holy crap was that pure hell to get started in the bore. Going to fire 3 @ 50 yards and see how they go.

I just got in a sample pack of 200 grain R.E.A.L bullets for my 45 and im wondering if i should put lube in the grooves? Great looking little bullets, im going to give them a try this evening.

I have. Turned out ok for being made out of pine, but the next will be maple. Making the barrel channel is the hardest and most time consuming part.

well clean up was the easiest and fastest ive ever done. 2 patchs and i was done. I did do a few more just to make sure. Breechplug cleaned up easy along with the threads. Like the stuff so far.

Well, not bad for the first load with this powder. first shot was right where it should be and the other 2 dropped down and drifted a little but im not sure if thats the powders fault or the winds....

Going out to try it out in about 45 minutes. Sky finally cleared out and wind isnt to bad. Im going to start out with 70 grains T7 and 385 grain great plains bullet. See how she likes the powder.

Pyrodex i find to be very easy to clean up. I just started using a bathtub with normal hot water and some soap and it cleans out easily. I prefer using the hot water now. Esp with my sidelock.

i use it all the time. never had any ignition problems with our sidelocks. Get a hot shot nipple that has the little cup egged out at the bottom and you'll be set.

nope, that was a really good deal on that rifle. My traditions loves 110 fffg powder and PRB. Make sure you let us know how it shoots.
