I shoot an omega and 777. For years I had acrud ring after the 2nd or 3rd shot. I switched to remington clean shot primers last year and now I do not have a crud ring after 10 shots. I wondering if I am the only one that has experienced this. Every problem post I have seen about 777 is a crud ring on some guns mostly the omegas.I wouldrecommend trying the remington primers.

I shoot an Optima with remington clean bore primers and never have an issue. This past weekend took about 20 total shots dialing in a scope and had no problem getting the plug loose when I was done. Don't even use lube on the plug. I wrap threads with teflan plumbers tape and thats it.

I like that primer!

You guys don't let sabotloader fool you. He doesn't know anything. He has a secretary that does EVERYTHING for him. She is also nicer than him, better looking than him and cooks a mean beef stroganoff.

Another thing. You guys listen up when Underclocked gives suggestions about posting pictures.
