RE: Ballistic Tip vs. Accubond
At the recommendation of a friend I switched to the Nosler AccuBond Bullets. Not only could I get a .417 group at 100 yards in my 300 Winchester Magnum and 2.5 inch group at 300 yards, these bullets drops hogs dead in their tacks. The only two hogs I’ve shot were in the head, straight on. One between the eyes at 125 yards and the other two inches above the snout dead center at 25 yards. Their skull bones were heavily damaged. Obviously the Nosler AccuBond Bullets mushroomed upon impact and stayed together all the way through. I look forward to see the same performance on my first elk in September. (I promise I won’t shoot the elk in the head.)
The bottom line: Shoot the bullet that performs accurately in your rifle.
