I used the Timney for several years and while the functional aspects of it worked very well, it also has a propensity to work dysfunctionally... In particular, due to the fact that it sits on a single hing pin with little lateral support the weight of pull will vary depending on how directly it is pulled back. Additionally, the reliance on the spring for setting the weight of pull while simultaneously seating it against the safety means it can, and will, bend over time. In fact once bent, the weight of pull drops to near zero and the gun can/will slam fire as a result.

Easy fix though...spend the few extra bucks and install the much higher quality Sav-2 trigger instead.

Just an suggestion but check out Canjar triggers made in Denver Co. They are single set and topnotch in both set & unset mode while being fully adjustable!They are my favorite aftermarket trigger.

I have read that he is getting older and grumpy and only builds them when and if he wants too.

Did Jewell ever develop his trigger for the Savage? It was supposed to be like an accutrigger only better.

I just installed the Sav-2 trigger, it went well. How much creep could be taken out? I'd like to get all of it out but I don't want to make it un safe.
