I used the Timney for several years and while the functional aspects of it worked very well, it also has a propensity to work dysfunctionally... In particular, due to the fact that it sits on a single hing pin with little lateral support the weight of pull will vary depending on how directly it is pulled back. Additionally, the reliance on the spring for setting the weight of pull while simultaneously seating it against the safety means it can, and will, bend over time. In fact once bent, the weight of pull drops to near zero and the gun can/will slam fire as a result.

Easy fix though...spend the few extra bucks and install the much higher quality Sav-2 trigger instead.
