If I were going to have only one, it would have to be the .338. Since I have the options, I'd have to say that my favorites are the .300 RUM and .300 Wby, in that order for getting the job done. Powerful meds against elk at longer distances.

It's all written down and pasted to stock at various yardages.

I prefer to shoot the gun often enough that I don't have to write down the points of impacts and paste them to the stock.I know where to hold at various distances without having resort to reading the card on the stock.

I have so many other things going on as well as old age creepin in, I just set them up and write the info down.
I pick the weapons I choose to shoot for the year and take a shot or 2 with them at the begining of the season.
I wish I had a little more time to spend with this hobby but don't.
I envy all who can find enough time to do the things they enjoy, but work is a big four letter word that always plays apart in my life and am always on the road. But the good thing is I am leaving in the morning for Alaska for a 2 year project and some good times should be had.
MB out, till AK
