From a personal perspective I saw more 2.5 year old year old bucks in last years archery season than ever before,I saw 10 racked bucks, that would have made the three on a side criteria.I know it is working.

Told ya Germ...........sooner or later the REAL reason for TDM/QDM preaching is revealed. You just have to give 'em enough time and eventually they all get back to this point.
Atlas I do not disagree with you, the reason most do not like QDMis fear of not seeing any deer. It comes out in every post you make about QDM

Two camps on both sides of the wall bickering at each other.

You know the answer..........and so does everyone else. I don't blame you for avoiding it
D-e-e-r hunter,

Atlas if deer did not have antlers they would be a deemed a nusance animal and destroyed.

If antlers do not mean so that much why did you mount yours?

Wow............you sure are dancing around that question

It's OK buddy..............everyone knows the answer...........and why you are avoiding it
Let me help tatoo, because it is stupid

Yes Atlas re-introducing the wild turkey back in our Area is selling out
I'm glad you feel that way..........today

Really lets see, and a nice story is great also. Why do you save the Antlers
This is the only pic I could find on my PC...........left side is a 6 pt I shot a few years ago while my coffee was still steaming.........right side is a 4 pt that I shot with my Remington (then I shot a doe 30 minutes later as she sniffed his carcass). I save the antlers for the same reason I take pictures.......to remember the hunt and those I shared it with.

If you want logical comparisons I will address them, but keep living in Fantasy land with Tatoo and all your doing is wasting space on HNI servers
If you don't like the thread then you are free to not respond. See how nice it is to have the freedom to choose

If your theory was correct then deer herd in Iowa and ILL would be getting worst. Why are they getting better? More big deer are shot every year.
What are you basing IA and ILL getting better on?? More bigger deer being shot??

There is ABSOLUTELY no way anyone can say that taking a mature male in the prime of his life out of a wild herd is a good thing for the overall health structure.

PURE BS................only spoken by someone who selfishly wants to take that male out and feels the need to justify it to others.
Atlas that is just the way it is. Keep twisting though. Tatoo can see you coming. "The plane The plane"

Please explain how taking a dominant alpha male out of a wild herd of animals helps THEM.
Please explain how shooting all the little ones helps

As you have said and I totally agree we have put are hand in the wild herd way to much.

If you can get bucks of your mind and look at the big picture things would be clearer for you. Let go of your fear For a guy who does not like big bucks you sure do think about them a lot. You:

Enter a big buck contest
Save your antlers and mount your nices deer, hmmmm

QDM
Does not say shoot the dominant animal Just like the little ones you shoot, you may be doing them a favor. Imay help that buck from getting hit by a car. Eating by those QBM bunnies you are so worried about

I shot one last year, guess what there is another one

I don't understand your logic. I manage deer on my private property and they are definitely healthy.
