Germ:

I don't care, either. If it isn't feasible.....it isn't. If it adds more work.....then that'll be a question for the people running it.

I simply posed the question.I thought the contest (and still DO) was/is a blast. It isn't "broke".......but can it be "enhanced"?

I don't think it's fair to change it up now - especially since we have some dogs alreadyin the hunt. Specifically, Justin offered up a brand new Bowtech bow to the biggest buck on Team 17 if they should repeat as champs.

It's just not fair to those guys to change the rules of the game after they already have their eyes on the prize.

IMO - if it aint broke, no need to fix it.

Valid information that I wasn't privy to, indeed.

Did you guys ever see those hunting videos from the 80's, where that crazyguy would lunge down from his elevated stand, and drive a gigantic spear through the back/vitals of bears and whitetails? Dude definitely didn't have all four wheels on the road, but he had a pair that clanked.

We need to call that guy and sign him up for the contestnext fall. That is, if he's still alive.
If you get that guy on your team, I want Jim, from Marlin Perkins Mutual of Omaha on my team. That guy will wrestle them down and catch and release the animals! [:-]

He did? Heck, I am really going to have to double my efforts this year then. Of course they couldn't have done that for winning it this year I would have a new bow Of course I have already guarenteed a repeat victory, so all it comes down to is who is going to be #1 on Team 17 this year I think it is going to be Beagle or MN. Of course, our sleeper is LTK, you never know what he is going to pull out of his hat.

The rest of you might as well not even show up for the contest. I'm going to go ahead and take my victory lap now

I'm kinda new here and don't really know how this contest works. From the above statement, teams stay togethor from year to year? That doesn't seem right to me.....

I do like the idea of a doe component to the contest.

Only the champions stay together. Everyone else gets reshuffled.Of course, that means that the current Team 17 will for ever more be on the same team. Unless, of course, Rob gets tired of us winning and disbands our team in the year 2020.

Well, don't take it as gospel from me that there's a new bowtech on the line if Team 17 repeats. I just remembered reading a post about it a while back. For all I know, he may have been joking, or I may have misinterpreted it.

Either way though, there is a nice littleprize package, and it's been very successful at the status-quo.
