I'm comfortable and confident out to 40yds. I practice that yardage frequently in my backyard.
I can shoot about a 5 inch group at 40yds.....without much of a crosswind.

My maximum is 40 yards and that is under the right conditions meaning wide open, deer is relaxed such as grazing, no meaningful wind. I practice shooting broadheads at that distance and slightly beyond just for confidence and practice........but I have set 40 for my max. Over 90% of my deer have been taken at 20 yards and less and one decent buck was taken at 37 yards with a double lung passthrough several years ago.

I voted 40+.
This distanceused to seem rediculous to me but I practiced at 40 yards alot this past summer and became very comfortable with it.
My 8 I shot this year was at 38 yards.
