Default Ground Blinds

I've always hunted from a tree stand. Found a spot in thick stuff where I can't use a stand. Has anyone used a ground blind, any luck with it and what kind? Thanks to all who respond....

I have used a blind made of pine branches and other sticks with leaves or anything that will break up my outline. Just pay attention to the wind when on the ground and be careful with the amount of moving you do while in the blind since you are at eye level. Well that is all I can tell you.

Oh yeah I have seen plenty of deer from the blind I use.

Ditto on the Ameristep comment. I recently bought an Ameristep Doghouse Blind and am very pleased with the results so far. It is easy to carry, set up and use in general. The quality is pretty good and the price is excellent (around $150). I would recomment it to anyone looking for an inexpensive, easy to use pop up blind.....

Natural ground blinds are pretty much all I hunt from. Nestle down in some brush, a gulley, a blowdown, tall weeds, etc.. I've taken deer as close as 3 yds from them. Works for me.
