Default Ground Blinds

I plan on mixing things up a little and trying out a ground blind this season. What do you all thinkabout them compared to hunting from a stand? Roughly how long does it take for the deer to get used to it?

Default RE: Ground Blinds

last year we built some ground blinds out of lumber that are towable with the 4-wheelers. i put mine out the night before the opener and killed a buck at 715 opening morning. we have them painted up to camo them in the surroundings. i also took wild apples from the area its in and cut them in half then rubbed them all over it inside and out. to cover up any paint smell,or the wood. but the deer didnt seem to mind it at all.ive had game camera's out this year in the area. they dont even pay it any attention.
