ORIGINAL: wildpair

I am shooting a encore and never have had this problem until last year and this year it seems worse. I changed powder to 777 and primers to the 777 and also changed bullets to the 250g shockwave. The gun shoots great 5 shot group at 100 yards and all bullets are touching. I run a bore butter patch after every shot just like i alwasy have but now its all i can do to get the ram rod out of the barrel after the first run then it will move freely. I have been reading about this problem but this is crazy my dads knight doesnt have this problem and my encore use to not do it. Any ideas on what to do?
Three solutions:
1) switch powders
2) shoot a #11 musket cap or ACP primer
3) swab between shots, with your solution of choice, mine is 50%windshield washer fluid and 50% rubbing alchol, others use Vinegar and WW fluid or Birchwood Casey or whatever.

Doug will talk your ear off, good people...both him and Bill.

He's selling the UBC in a DIY kit now, easy.......

Not only does itslick upcleaning a ML, it also, according to a test done by a Pard of mine, provides a substantial amount of rust prevention. In fact the test barrel, a blued T/C,was fired several times with real blackand then left dirty for WEEKS, with no sign of rust formingdue to burnt powder corrosion.

Amazing stuff, I'm also a happy customer.................

Thanks guys i will give all the info a try. I am planing on shooting some on sunday and will try the wet patches and lose the bore butter and see if that helps any. You guys have given me alot of good info and will keep trying new things until i get this problem worked out. i could not ask for a gun to shoot any better than what it does but its got to be a easier way to clean it. I use montana extream to clean my high power maybe this will clean my bp. The montana extream is the best stuff that i have ever used in my rifles and that about all i see used at my range that i shoot at all the 1000 yard guys use the stuff, very good on removeing copper and other things from bore.
