thanks. great info. I talked toa biologistin our area and they said the seed is 18% protein and can feed from feb-july to supplement. said to feed protein pellets to finish them in august september-the months they do the most growing. i called the co-op and i can get it for $150 a ton. Much cheaper than pellets for us small time boys. he said to put molasses on it to make it more attractive to deer.

Great for cattle.
I don't see why a deer would not eat it but, i am sure they would prefer your neighbors food plots and corn (think about that)
