Cottonseed-Anyone have problems with feeding it?

I was wondering if anyone had problems with feeding cottonseed. We are looking at it on our place. I have heard it has 18 percent protein and is cheap.

thanks. great info. I talked toa biologistin our area and they said the seed is 18% protein and can feed from feb-july to supplement. said to feed protein pellets to finish them in august september-the months they do the most growing. i called the co-op and i can get it for $150 a ton. Much cheaper than pellets for us small time boys. he said to put molasses on it to make it more attractive to deer.

Found in Cattle feed along with Peanut Hulls and oats/corn
Great for cattle.
I don't see why a deer would not eat it but, i am sure they would prefer your neighbors food plots and corn (think about that)
Look at this for Habitat needs and seed planting info
