The way it has been going makes me feel like a rookie. Gun season came in last Sat. I went Sat. morn and evening and have gone the last 3 mornings in a row and I have yet to see the first deer during legal shooting light. The closest I have come to seeing one was yesterday morning, when one blew twice at me or at something, never saw it though. I saw 3 deer opening morning driving to my hunting area and had 3 come right up to my stand that morning before it was light enough to see. I also saw one yesterday morning while driving down the road. Archery season started the same way but the last 2 weeks of it I started seeing deer and got a doe the last week of archery season. It just blows my mind!!![] I' m not hunting the same stands and I' m not even hunting the same property. The sign is there. And I make sure the wind is right. I' m using scent eliminator, odor free soap on my self and clothes and keeping movement to a minimum and moving slow. I hunted my 2 best stands Thurs. and this morn. with nothing!!![:@] These stands usually don' t produce bucks but I can pretty well count on the does being there. Oh well, guess I' ll try it again nxt. Sat. Hope everyone is having better luck than me. Thanks for allowing me to whine, cry, rant and rave.
