when we start hunting in the fall ,the gang i hunt with. when the first deer dies we start collecting deer urine, buck ,doe it doesn't matter. we put it all in a big jar in the frig. as more deer die ,we keep adding to the jar. when the rut gets close and scent glands start to darken up we will cut the dark hair from them and drop it in the urine. then just keep adding and drain off what you want to use. with us we may end up with a gallon or so in a season. last year i had made scapes useing this urine in them, almost every deer that would come by would stop and freshen the scrapes

I have used the tarsal gland and I put it on a string and drag it where I walk.( only when I am in a new area from where these tarsal glands came from) Buck cover a lot of area in the rut, so this may not always hold true. I have seen deer follow me as when I sit and rest the deer are sniffing my tracks where the gland was dragging. With the string I can also hang it at a shooting distance from ,y sitting locations and have seen deer go right to it.

As far as urine goes. where I have peed, I have seen many deer go and sniff it
, so go figure???

Here you talk about the buck urine? I would say the doe urine is more important. Why do you think the buck is always sniffing where the does walk and takes more time sniffing here urine and then the air. Want good urine shoot a doe when she is receptive.
