Never thought of doing it that way. Should leave a nice aroma in the house, wouldn' t you think. We like to marinade them in soy sauce then toss them directly into our fire pit by camp. After a few hours, we pull them out and scrape the jerky off then toss them back in. The garbage in the pit seems to keep the meat tender and give it a good flavor with the soy sauce!!!

Try to give a guy an answer to a question and he comes back with a smart ass remark!!! Nice--Hope this helps!!!!

Since I started processing the deer myself I usually end up putting the remains out with the garbage. The only problem is that I usually shoot my deer on a Saturday and garbage pickup is not until the following Wednesday. I normally crank up the second fridge to its highest setting and stick the remains in there until the day of pickup.

I normally have only bone and trimmings and hide. I turn the head into the DNR and the ribs I toss in the woods for the critters.

Lets all box them up and send them to PETA. Or the IRS let them try to squeez more blood out of them bones. Last year I took mine to a little draw on my place and walked up the hill to watch for old charly. When I turned around to watch they were gone already. There are a lot of yotes around there.

Hey I put the front leg bones in the woodstove and they burnt down to nothing! And yes there was a pleasant smell in the kitchen, like barbecud steak. Reminded me of summer...

I' d like to catch the idiots that are thowing deer parts in the creek down from my house. I had to wade out last year and pull them out. My cattle drink from that creek and I sure don' t want them in there. Plus the coyotes and other varmits don' t get to clean up. Just my two cents

I am amazed that no one just lets their dogs have a feast! My dogs love deer season, my wife gets a little upset when the dogs want to bring the bones in the house though!

my neighbors leave all their hunting remains in the woods near our home or near our property lines. they also poach alot. then if they kill beef,or hogs also we get all kinds of animal remains drug into our yard and on the porch by our dogs. we have 4 dogs 3 are tied due to various reasons--alot of which is due to this problem. while our dogs are the culprits dragging in the remains they are only doing what they natuarally will do. but while our yard used to be-an at times still is coverd in animal heads , hides, bones and some times even whole shoulders from deer, their yards stay nice neat and clean.

they take a great pride in their yard. i told my husband we should load up our trucks full of this stuff and deposit it in THEIR yards and on their porches one day when they are not home. perhaps they will get the picture. they only have at least 80 acres to dump the stuff on but they would rather leave it along our fence line for some reason. also we have an uprise of rabbies here now and this worries me about the animals that are comming in to eat this and maybe spreading the disease.--nothing like having to look at a hogs head or deer parts each time you step out side and it looks lovely for guests.
i myself allow the dogs certain trimmings of meats we should butcher and other parts disposed of for nature away from homes and certain things left in the garbage too.

I have two ponds and I put the remains in my turtle traps guts and all. But the best was to burn in trash pile behind my house. If you have a chipper you can chip the bones and feed the chips like i do to my deer dogs they hunt a lot better when the eat what they hunt don' t we?

I hunt on my own land and dispose of the carcass away from my hunting areas, just leave it lying on the ground. It is usually gone within a week, conusmed by coyotes.
