When I was younger after deboning the deer we use to cut up the bones in smaller pieces and boil them for the dogs to chew on them,and that way we sved money for mom,she didn' t have to buy new shoes all the time

What we do is when where done butchering them we usually throw the remains in the woods where the coyotes will eat them. if you dont live by a woods bag them up set them out for the trash.

The remains are a smorgesborg for wildlife from birds and bears to shrews.It' s amazing how fast it all disappaers.Every scrap is put to use as food or for den or nest.
