Default RE: Bad Meat?

I agree with other opinions here.Eat it! I had similar circumstance few years ago when I found a stone cold dead 8pnt buck.Clean as a new born babe in & out.
S/W F&W director who ask if deer had broken horn.It did have a rather fresh break on one point.Theory was infection set in thru horn to brain causing death. Not that uncommon I was told.

Anyway I was told deer carry many - many infections and/or parisites.
Rarely if ever do any get into blood stream to effect meat.He said - Deer was A Ok to consume.I did just that.

In warm weather, doesn't take long for gases to build up - Stink[X(]

Also - I've found any deer that has been eating alot of clover tend to have bloated belly.
