Default More Meat

Got this little 3 pointer first 8A.M. the first day. Shot at 350 yds with my Stevens 200 in .243. We had a staring contest for ten minutes before I left the field. He was with a doe and had other things on his mind. I returned 20 minutes later after glassing the rest of the field and they were still there so I decided to take the shot. One shot took out both his lungs exiting the opposite side. He ran about 50 yards before he collapsed. I left my camera behind so this pic was taken after we returned to the farm.
I still have another tag to fill so maybe Mr. Big will show.

Good shooting Mr. Duck, but you better look at the hunting guide again on page 22 for that second tag, it’s antlerless...

I guess you didn't get the memo... There's no way a .243 can kill a deer from that far away.

Congrats!
