Have you experienced very much luck with scents when used as a scent drag when going to a stand or blind? I have rarely used scents, but thought I would give it another try. I will using Code Blue and dragging a scent trail on the way into my stand. It will be the chase phase/rut. Thanks for the replies.

yes my hunting pal laid a trail down the last 100 yards to his stand and had 2 bucks follow it right in. Got to have your boots 100% scent free tho.

Or hang your drag from the end of a long stick so that you aren't walking directly on the trail . When they have their noses on an interesting scent they rarely sniff anywhere but the scent trail itself .

MAke sure you play the wind right. If the wind is out of the west make the scent trail north and south past your stand. this is for any deer cutting the wind will have a better chance to find it. Good luck
