is the meat ok off of the buck i took on wednesday. My shot exited through the stomach because it was a quartering to shot and when i butchered it tonight the meat had a faint smell of deer stomach. I cut out all of the meat in the insides of the hind quarters that was discolored or dirty. I was just wondering if this meat is still ok.

should be my first deer with my bow was quatering towards me and the arrow when through the gut and the meat was fine so yours should be also

Any part of the meat with a tainted smell is definetly no good. Get rid of it.

Wash it offor cut off outside meat the rest will be fine.

If it was discolored chuck it out... no good.

When in doubt throw it out.

when i shot my deer i accidentally sliced the belly when i was gutting him. i smelled but no one threw me away.......ur meat is fine.
