Being a redneck is being proud of your roots and a true love for your father’s name. Where family and friends are first and strangers are just a vague, dismal blur in the distance. Rednecks are good ol' boys/gals who usually live in the south (usually in the country) and also tend to have a southern accent. Their necks are red and maybe their arms, too, cause they work hard and out in the heat all day.The group that is ridiculed by most, but deep down envied by all. Some types of rednecks may be cowboys/girls, mountain men/women, country boys/gals, and or hillbillys.
Many pepole think of all Rednecks as Trailer Trash, but there are many city boys that are Trailer Trash also!

I have read about all I wanna read about those of use who choose to remain in SOUTHERN WV making a living off growin pot, inbreeding etc. It is a crock of bs to see people move out of here and leave their roots here and suddenly turn around and trash the place they are from and everybody in it. Really shows what kind of chracter they have and the kind of person they are. As far as political correctness, most folks I know are too busy working 60-70 hours a week around here to worry about it.
I guess choosing to live here makes us narrow minded and simple in life.
I would also assume that we would all be much better off moving away from here so we could look back down our noses at it and try to distance ourselves because someone might think lowly of us for being from SOUTHERN WV! Well guess what? Some of us live here by choice and like living here..but again i guess that gives me a mediocre approach to lifeSorry but I have had a pretty good life and made a pretty good living in these hills.
As far as inbreeding, rednecks, drugs etc... check your inner cities and compare.
Almost 40 here and have never had a cavity...imagine that!!!

Don't I haveright to an opinion? I don't like the word myself. AsI stated many times, there's nothing flattering about it. I think Rebelsdefinition is totally offbase. He likes the word and has embraced it. Thats his business, not mine.If you like it fine. But I would highly suggest you actually read what I said, and not think with just feelings and emotions. Dad gone guys, I thought males were supposed to be logical.

It isnt like every time people see a dead deer in public that its straped to a huners car. I can drive around town and see half a dozen dead deer that cars have hit, and they are much worse looking than those that are straped to cars. deer hunting is a way of like, if u arnt for it then dont worry about it.
