If you are able to display the deer in a manner that is respectful to the deer, it think it is fine. But when people tie them to the front of there truck...or throw it around and all, i dont think so, people who are imparcial to hunting get a bad taste in there mouth after seeing that.

I know in some states it is required to show at least part of the animal while in transport.(Wisconsin) Don't forget it may be nessesary for an individaul to put the deer on a rack bihind a SUV or on the trunk of a car or trailer. To get from point A to point B I myself have no problem. It is nice to see what other sportsman have taken on my way home from camp. I do not agree with parading the animal from bar to bar or house to house. They do deserve a little more respect then that. I myself will will put my animal in the back of the truck with the tail gate up.The tail gate will down to register the animal and back up for the trip home. I have a hunting buddy that insist that people can see his deer while traveling from one place to another. He is also a guy that drives the deer around all day long. Not something I agree with. Take a picture and show people pictures.

I know I enjoy my sunday drive home from our lease seeing horns sticking out ofpickups as much as the person showing them off.
I mean no offense when I say this so please dont take it that way, but being a proud American already smothered by political correctness (like not being able to say "merry Christmas" or prayer in school or the pledge of alegance)I beleive it would be an unneccessary and unwanted trivial fight. I think it is a personal preference that may offend a few, but what in this world doesn't offend somebody.
I thinkthe fight to keep god, prayer and the meaning of Christmasin our schools and the public eye.......thats a fight worth taking on. To each his own, thats my opinion and as long as my family is cool with it thats all that really matters. I don't want to make this into a serious matter cause in the grand scope of things horns sticking out of a truck bed is actually kinda funny. Be Cool and Have a Great Christmas My Huntin Compadres

Kids can say Merry Christmas and they can pray and the pledge is still said daily.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A holiday display is getting some negative attention from neighbors. A homeowner's display in the Hunter's Creek subdivision features Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer hanging from a tree.
One red light represents its nose and the rest to be blood draining from Rudolph's body. The display represents a hunting technique called field dressing, which is what hunters do to a deer they kill, but many neighbors say it disgusts them.
"It's just kind of sad for the kids, 'cause they see that and it's just not a very good example," said neighbor Kathleen McMahon.
"I don' think it's very nice at all. It's Rudolph and I think that's really nasty," said neighbor Bree McMahon.
The homeowner wouldn't talk to Channel 9 Wednesday night.
Neighbors said they just want the display taken down

Red,
I agree with you on the respect issue but I think you have to be careful here.
There are lots of things I see in public or on tv that I don't like or agree with but I am not going to jump on the minority bandwagon and pass a law against them.
I personally don't want to see rainbow stickers in the windows of cars indicating certain sexual preferences but then if someone makes a law against that will someone else make a law to remove the Christian fish from the window of my truck???
I agree with the educate mentality on several of these posts. Try to get more people to be reasonable, ethical and respectful. As for the ones that want to still show off their game, let them do it.
If you go in my house there are lots of mounts showing off successful hunts. If people don't like seeing them, they don't have to look or don't have to come back.
hakurt
