Just shy of 10 years old, so that may be the new record for bringing one back from the dead, LOL!

It was the same for me when I was growing up in CO. However the entire mindset of that state has changed. Now I bone all my game in the field and put the meat on ice in coolers. If I am successful you will never know it by looking at the vehicle. Times have changed.

I think it's fine to display them, just don't make a big deal of it. If u have a truck I don't see what the point on Strapping it to the roof would be...

Outside of our cities limits, it is still not uncommon to see a deer hanging from a tree in someone's back yard.

Personally I believe it depends on where you are at. Where I grew up the whole town shuts down for deer season only thing open is the Church on Sunday if you want to attend. If you go deer hunting and get a deer it is expected for you to drive down the 2 block main street displaying your deer. If you tell people you got a deer and don't display it then your are considered (1. a liar (2. some kind of tree hugging idiot. It is still thata way there.

Crossing the Big Mac Bridge to come south your deer is expected to be displayed some how so it is counted or you must remember to tell the toll taker you have a buck or doe hidden in your baggage.
