After beating this dead horse I would rather see dead deer strapped to the back of a local mini bus for public transportation use to get to our destination than to see this dead horse that obviouslly got the hell beat out of it when it was dead and the image of this horse from all the punches and kicks it took is no way goanna have an open casket at it's funeral.

I will try not to get fired up while writing this response. I call what you are refering to as political correctness. It is my opinion that POLITICAL CORRECTNESS has spoiled our nation! God is not allowed in school. Through the Pledge of Allegiance out as well. It's not a black person it's an African American. This world is in a tail spin and it makes me sick.
This would be one more law that would harass hunters and cause hardship on Law Enforcement. Speaking from a Law Enforcement stand point we have too many trivial laws that need to be enforced. The last thing I want to do is chase a guy or girl around for displaying their hard earned work. Talk about a mood killer. Hunting has been around for many, many, ages and so has dispalying your game. I grew up in a small town that revolved around hunting. Some people might not have hunted themselves but they understood the necessity for it. I am tired of getting the finger from somebody as they drive by on the road. This is with the tail gate up and only an antler showing. Not to mention the fingers I get during moose season. Now I'll have to buy an enclosed trailer to transport anything larger than a deer.People need to understand that hunting is beneficial to society as a whole. It creates strong family bonds, friendships, food for the table, and memories. GIVE ME A BREAK!! Let's make a stand as hunters! The money we put into the economy alone should be enough for people to leave us alone. Try this one why don't you put your efforts into banning anti hunters from popular hunting areas! Or make a law against someone who harrasses a hunter for doing a good job and providing for his family! That is all i have for now! Hunt hard hunt often.

While we are at it what does the pledge of alligiance (which is still said in schools)or african Amereican have to do with dead deer in public?

NH306, I'm really sorry to hear people give you the finger, how do you think that could be stopped.
My state alreardy has a anti harrasment law.
What do we do? We participate in a blood sport that results in the death of animals. I try and protray a good image to people I meet when I'm hunting and when I speak to people about hunting. I don't think getting in people face about hunting is a good idea. I feel you have to adapt to the area your hunting in. Is that politically correct or good common sense.
My town passed an ordinance of 1,000 ft from a occupied dwelling, even if it's your property your neighbor can can say you can't be hunting there. There were public meetings before this took place and to be honest a couple of the"hunters " that spoke did more harm to good.

Ijust said the pledge at my daughters school last week. So maybe it's different in other school systems. I don't think it's a schools job to teach about any God,but that's another thread for the politics board.
Darn good question. Our society thinks meat comes from a grocery store and that is a hard one to overcome.

But at what point do we say enough is enough?

and welcome to Hunting Net.
