Default Moon Hunting

Here is a question for all, has any one out there been hunting by moon phases. Was wondering if any one has used the " Deer Hunters Moon Guide" wheel. Have been using for a period of time and have noted the results to be really on, it WORKS It has change my hunting style and the same for all that hunt with me.[8D]

Always wondered if it worked. Heard alot about it a few years ago but then it died out. Figured that was because it didn't work. Nice to hear it might be true. I'll have to check it out.

Well here is how it has worked for the pass three years for four of us here in the great state of New York, all have tagged during bow and that season they call gun. The results are proof not only for us, but for other's that we know. There are still some articals written, but not many seem to want to take any time to learn new ideas. Most every one wants to do hunting just like every day things in life, in a HURRY. As was said, the proof is in the results!

We did some testing of the moonguide a couple of years back.We found that during our bow season it was pretty accurate.Once gun season started and hunting pressure increased it was'nt as accurate because deer tended to lay low and move very late regardless.Still when the guide gave an "A" rating near dark we would allways see deer in foodplots or acorn trees. When the rating slipped to "C" we did'nt see as many deer.It was helpfull for us in planning trips together. We found that unseasonably warm weather and hunting pressure tended to make the deer less apt to move regardless of what the guide said.

I like the RUT GUIDE ! more than the moon guide because i hunt every available minute possible regardless of the moon phase, but it's nice to know when the rut is gonna heat up ! [8D]
