I am just now in the process of getting equipment to build arrows. My main questions are- In your opinions what is the best glue or epoxy to glue the vanes and the same question for the inserts? Is there one that will work for both? I am instrumenting this in my business so customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance. Any and all replies will be appreciated. Steve

I've never found one that works for both; fletching glues can't take the beating that an insert gets. You'll have so many different opinions here it'll be crazy. I go for hot melt glue on inserts for both carbon and Aluminum but you've got to really know what you're doing to use hotmelt on carbon! and Fletch-tite Platinum over wraps for vanes but there's lots of others that work. The only thing I will say is absolute is to stay away from quick set epoxies on inserts, they shatter over time and cause the insert to pull out. If you're going to use an epoxy make sure it's a slow (12-24 hr.) set.
