RE: what do you hate about all the new camo out there?

I think good hunting skills are your best defense against being busted by game. That being said, and I am no expert, but I believe open pattern camos do a much better job at breaking up your outline....

RE: .307 Win & .308 Levers

As an owner of a win. 94 in 30-30 I enjoy reading everything I can about them. The 30-30 to me is a very fun round to shoot and the same goes for the leverguns chambered for them. I've noticed since...

RE: 2nd day DUMMY!

I too have heard that terrible click and no boom. It happened to me last spring. Perfect setup, nice tom, close range, and one bad shell. That bird took off like a rocket at the click. My hunting...

RE: Best camo for Nebraska turkey hunting

MDManiac, I thought the same thing when I started using my Predator camo. It is definitely brown but it didn't seem to spook the turkeys, though. They didn't see me even among some green backround.

RE: Best camo for Nebraska turkey hunting

Just the opposite you will not stand out like a sore thumb. I don't use ASAT camo but it works on the same principles as Predator camo that I use. The colors along with the irregular patterns break...

RE: Best camo for Nebraska turkey hunting

I'm from western Kansas and use Predator Deception here. It works great, have had turkeys and deer get very close. I believe the big open patterns confuse most animals vision and really breaks up...

RE: The 30/30......

I use a win. 94 in 30-30. A great choice for river bottoms here in Kansas. It does not have the range, of say a 270 in open areas. But it forces me to be a better hunter and isn't that what it's all...

RE: WHAT IS THE FUNNIEST THING TO HAPPEN TO YOU WHILE HUNTING

RE: what is your favorite camo pattern

Predator is the way to go. It looks kind of wild but breaks up your outline like no picture perfect camo can. I use the brown Deception.

RE: Turkey Guns??

My turkey gun is a Mossberg 500. I bought it from my uncle, used for about $ 100, then got rid of the wood and put on a Hogue stock set. Man did that make a world of difference. I also put on an...
