Encore accuracy

I was wondering how accurate a customized TCEncorewould becompared to a custom bolt action. I was considering an "accuracy" barrel from EABCO in either 22-250 Ackley Imp. or 6mm BR. just wondering...

RE: .22 LR ballistic tip?

The bullet is the size if not bigger than the case. We talked about this at work. But since I have started this I have found Remington Premier has an AccuTip for the .22 Mag. along with both .17's....

RE: .22 LR ballistic tip?

My hope was to be about 1600-1700 fps and half inch groups out to 70-80 yards instead of 50. The average LR is what? About 1200 fps? The new Mach2 is 2000-2100fps?

.22 LR ballistic tip?

Why can't someone make a .22 LR with a ballistic tip. Make it just like the .17 HMR or MACH2 but in .22. I think it would add 50-75 yards on the accuracy and yet as much or more KE. Look at what the...

RE: WV numbers are in.

Ok. Point well taken but is it safe to say it is going up at a bad time because IMHO the deer quality is as low as I have seen it in many years.

I am not saying I am the best hunter or in the...

RE: WV numbers are in.

I don't know what restrictions would be best. Points per side or one deer. I kinda think one buck then the meet hunters wouldn't complain about waiting for a nice buck.

My complain now is the...

I hunt on a good farm where I can see alot of land and deer crossing. The first day of gun season I saw 25-30 deer. A four point, three spikes and rest does. I have only seen one buck larger than a...

RE: .454 Casull

Are you asking me why? Why did S&W make a .460 if it is a "magnumised" .454. Why not just introduce the 200 grn. bullets. I was going to see what kind of speeds I could get out of my .454 with the...

.454 Casull

I have seen new Barnes and Hornady 200grn. bullets for use in the new .460 S&W. Will they work in the 454 Casull? The are pointed instead of the big hollow point design. Will they work?

Bowtech Miranda

The local Bowtech dealer is ordering a Miranda for my wife to try but I was wondering if anyone else has tried it. She is just starting and the 8 1/4 brace height attracted me to it.

My local dealer is trying to sell me a 04 LadyHawk for my wife. She likes it but it looks really small. Does anyone know how they perform at 40-45 lbs or any other suggestions.
