reylamb - I got your stance and someone elses swapped then - my confusion and apologies for doing that. It was suggested a seperate season fro crossbows - i was replying to that line of thought.

You know, I really, REALLY hope (everyone that wants crossbows to have seperate season) get what they are asking for. A seperate crossbow season where compound/recurves/longbows are not allowed....

A lot of compound hunters would drop their bows and go rifle if there was one big season - so that is a moot point Arthur P

You shoot a variety of bows like I have - good ! You then know exactly...

Oh, I know he's an Arkansas deer - but thats all I know about him. Probably a 150-175 live weight deer ....... I would gross him close to 150" - those main beams are longggggggggggg

Literally, I can shoot a compound for 20 mintues - probably only 5 minutes but I'll stretch it some - and I can shoot it out to 30 yards -...

I use to think crossbow shooters were less accurate too until I started shooting 3D tournaments with recurve/longbow shooters - and to a lesser degree compounders. GEEEESH ! For every 10 arrows on...

dkeener - in most states you can use more difficult weapons as the seasons begin to overlap. ie a bow during muzzleloader season, and a bow and/or a muzzleloader during rifle season.

Guns are not allowed in archery season because they A) do not shoot what is defined as an arrow and B) they use gunpowder not the force of a string and storee energy of limbs to propel the projectile.
