my suggestion would be to get a 20 gauge and...

my suggestion would be to get a 20 gauge and shoot 2 3/4 shells....I would use the Hevishot shells
and you should be more than equipped to get a nice limit of ducks

I agree with Winds about the steel shot....I have seen way too many crippled ducks over the years to ever go back to that shot
The best option that I have found is the Hevishot Brand of shotgun...

I have shot mine for 20 years
I bought a Hevishot Choke system that has
an extended range and mid range choke
they work great

At our club in Arkansas, we have several young hunters and some older one's that shoot lower gauge shotguns
at both geese and ducks. They take (for the most part) good shots and use Hevishot loads.
