I just picked up a tikka t3 for 599. Better trigger and accuracy than any of the guns you listed. 7mm is a smooth gun, and acctually has better down range power than a 300 wby if you can believe that.

Depends where it is. Aparently in some parts of the country if you shoot a 6 x 4 youcall it a 10 point. If you called it a 10 point in Montana you'd be laughed at.

Those last 60 yards are hard to bring em in. If you're 60-100 closer to the elk than the caller, that seems to take care of that problem.
