homemade treestands are way more difficult and end up costing quite a bit more then what you can get on cabela's. i do go with a few homemade ones though,since they are best suited for those days...

8 by 8 or 8 ft by 12ft is closer to a small cabin,there's little reason to have it more then 5-6 ft by 4ft by say 5 or 6 ft high,and that's for an actual ground blind,sounds like your thinking more...

i've bought quite a few from cabela's that are 15 ft at the shooting rail,i rather them a little higher,my homemade version that is 16 ft at the floor base seems optimal for my edge hunting...

moose sheds are easy to come by in our area,when they drop there's usually lots of snow in early december,so early spring is when they are easiest to get,you can find 20-30 antlers in an afternoon....

we often use the 30-30 as a back up gun,and it has come in handy many times,is good for both moose and deer,prefer to keep the shot inside 150 yards.

baiting can work very similar to a food plot,if located along edges of cover,the more open the area,the less likely they will visit during daylight hours.food natural to the area makes the most...
