building a ground blinds what should i use
I am planing on buying some land and one of the things i wont to do is build a ground blind.
about 5 feet to 10feet off the ground not sure yet how high
Should i use 4x4 or 4x6 post or go with a welded steel frame

Use the land, I am planning on cutting some locust or ceder trees for posts. then fill in the space with other parts of the woods I find. I like the Idea of using ceder and refreshing it often to help as cent cover.

bigtim,
If you are going elevated, i'm not sure that 5 feet up will do much for you unless there is a specific topographical reason you need to be a few feet up in a particular location.
4x4 or 4x6 ? I guess that depends on how big you are going to make the blind and how far you will be spacing the posts.

8 X 8 should be plenty for 2 people gun or bow. At that size i would go with 4 foot spacing for the 4x4.
As Drenal has suggeted using plexiglass instead of glass would be better.
Do you plan on using this for gun only, or gun and bow?
