The blades of a three blade head are 120 degrees apart, (360 degrees divided by three). The sharpened bevels are 60 degrees on each side of the blade.

The only possible reason that you would not get much blood from a perfectly hit animal is-A DULL BROADHEAD.(or maybe a mechanical head that failed to open).

I have to agree with Hardcorehunter on this one. Personally I doubt that this "trick" would work at all. If you know where the deer are in the pre-dawn, then it shouldn't be too difficult to find out...
