I thank you Bob, for refreshing my memory that it is indeed worth it to hunt the late season. I kinda already figured that it was.
I really enjoy my time in the woods during the late season. It is like the season has just started versus coming to an end. I feel like a kid at Christmas when I walk in the woods during the late season.

That simply is not true. You said you never criticized anyone for shooting any legal deer and you just admitted that is exactly what you did and are proud of it.

I pass on legal bucks nearly every year and quite often end up going without filling my tag at the end of the year. Somehow I go on.
I missed a very nice 9 point this year. Somehow I still got up the next morning.

Here is a eye opener.

Don't shoot a fawn, how the hell hard is that, I mean really adults shooting BB fawns come on.

I guess I was just raised better.

If you quit hunting, the chances are you would still get up the next morning, that is unless you died overnight.

Now Jim...that is not politically correct to say. You'd better retract that statement and make a public apology.

The odds are 1 billion to one that I would quit hunting of my own volition. So your point is...well.....pointless.

Guess you took the buck in your avatar pic prior to when you started doing that?

So would you prefer that hunters in 2008 harvest an additional 94K adult doe rather that shooting 94K fawns? Would you prefer that the 2009 sustainable harvest be reduced by around 100K?
