That buck has a full 8 point rack and was killed in a 3 point zone. I needed a specimen to practice my taxidermy skills on, so I took him on the second day of the rifle season in 2f. My brother killed a 145" 10 point about 20 minutes later and within 200 yards of me. That was a great hunt.
And yes, I have passed up better bucks, but I wanted a specimen as I said.

Went out earlier today driving for a bud with a buck tag. Saw a really good buck that went the wrong way. Posed for me before leaving. Almost like he knew I had no weapon. Surprised the hell outta me to see that he made it through in such a heavily hunted area. Really wish Id of not used my tag earlier and had the flinter in hand... Oh well, I WILL be checkin' back on that boy come next fall. He will be a very good one next year.

At any rate, from what i can tell in the small pic, appears to be a very nice job.

Thanks Bob. I try.
I think I sent you pics of it back when I mounted it. The years sure do slip by don't they?

Thanks Corny. I appreciate it. I don't do it for hire though. Not yet any way.
