I like these deer hunting stories. Sure is better then arguing with left wing eco-terrorist bio-freaks.

It's 10 degrees right now. The cold subject brings up a whole 'nother realm of hunting stories for me. I hope it warms a bit. I want to do some flintlock hunting in a couple days. Is it really worth it to hunt the late season? LOL.

I beleive it is. I'm not fond of these temps but when a break comes we need to grab the bow or the flinchlock and git out there! Our gang continues to see and occasionally shoot some very good bucks in the late season as well as some does.

I know we're headed to camp in 2F tomorrow to bring in the new year and a bud who has a neighboring camp is headed up north as well. The punkin horde is long gone and the deer are easy to pattern so we'll be out with the flinters.

Nothing like christening all that beautiful snow with some red stuff

I have always had a good time hunting the late season. Have a great trip, Bob.

Them young bucks eat every bit as good as an old buck, and give slightly more meat then a doe. So stick that in yer peace pipe and smoke it.

Happy New Year.

is it worth it?yes if you dont expect to get deer.its just too windy/cold to enjoy yourself.deer are not moving and ones that are ,make sure you hunt at 1 pm if sunny out.........
morning is waste and so is last hr of day.i cant believe i stood out in that yesterday until noon.................

god that was cold.ground is hard as rock. 6 inchs of hard ice/snow.i stopped at camp and saw 9 turkeys trying to get in garage to find food.they cant find anything to eat do to hard ground.i could have almost touched those turkeys. at first i thought they were tame, they were not.

mother was in middle trying to get them together etc.this is why its so important NOT to shoot the mother with peeps less than year old.today is actually the best so far to hunt but i am wore out from cold.it was AWFUL..........
illegal use of ATV is ruining our hunting. i bet i saw 6 ATV going down trails in hollows.i am on the ATV commmission here too in clinton county.
this disturbed my hunting.........i dont know how i am going to respond at our next meeting.now i am seeing things I DONT LIKE.
