Frizzellr,
Thats the show I was referring to and the cartridge I was thinking about too. Though any .22 centerfire is unthinkable for anything other than predators or varmints. I wish the ODC would take the TTH off the air and bring back Mike Eastman, I would love to go on 1% of the hunts he does.

Ok, Nomercy, I agree, and most I say would if they were honest. With that way of thinking, then the 22-250 is not undergunned when it comes to deer hunting. Cause I see serious bowhunters take finer deer than gunhunters. And with a bow, I don' t feel undergunned. I feel IMHO, that a bow is plenty for hunting, and makes people a better hunter than waiting till gun season and having a mass amount of people push the deer out. I gun hunt, and always will.

Frizz, I lost all respect for the Texas Trophy Hunters too, because of their touting the .224 TTH as a deer bullet! Texas or anywhere else for that matter!
As for the hypothetical " starving in the woods" , I' d use whatever I though would give me the best chance at putting food in my stomach! In this case I' d prefer the surer shot of a gun over a bow. I' d use a .22 derringer if I had to. But, thats survival, not hunting!
