I am going to purchase a new rifle and my friend is trying to get me to buy a kimber 22-250 and i was just wondering are they that much better of a shooter than a savage? if so what makes them so much better?

wily, I dont know about the 22-250 from kimber, but I have A 308 kimber and I can honestly say that is one of the best rifles I ever owned. I dont know that much about savage, but I hear they are pretty good guns also. So the answer to your question, at least in part, is yes the kimber in my opion is worth every cent. DAKOTA NUT 5.

The Kimbers are very nice rifles, but the three I owned (22lr, 22 mag, and .222) weren' t any more accurate than some of the cheaper rifles I' ve owned. They were built very well and had super nice triggers though. I wouldn' t pay the difference just hoping for more accuracy. But if you appreciate fine craftsmanship, a Kimber may well be worth the extra money to you.
