I limited it to 12ga because right now the smallest scattergun i have is a 16, and the load selection for 16s is very slim around here.

The best fun is when we only have three hunters and a few dogs.... thats when we break out the iron sighted .22s. Makes you feel like a dead eye to hit a rabbit on the run with a .22.... that or lucky. Only hunt 'em on days when we have a few folks, and even then only in certain situations.... gotta be careful.

If you are jump shoting them where the are running away from you I like #4. In a .410 1/2-3/4oz, 20ga 7/8-1oz, or 12ga 1-1 1/8oz. with a improved cylender choke. Any standard load low or high brass will work.
With dogs where there running at you #6 with which choke is best for where you are hunting
