Favorite .243 Win Antelope Load? Coyote Load?
#1

Ordered a .243 Win., just picked up some boxes of ammo as well, hasn't arrived yet, but ready to get started.
This is going to be my antelope rig, and occasional coyote setup.
Picked up 3 boxes, 95gr Rem Accutip, 95gr Federal Nosler Ballistic Tip, 100gr Federal Sierra BTSP.
Was thinking probably just using the above favorite for coyotes too, but considering maybe some 75gr accutip-V, what are your fav coyote loads, 55grs etc...seem awefully light for a 243, but certainly curious what works for everyone else....

I have used Winchester's 95gr Supreme Ballistic Tips, and 100gr Super X's, Hornady 95gr SST's, and 100gr BTSP's on antelope. All of them performed well....my favorite would probably be the Hornady 95gr SST's.
On Coyote's I use the Hornady 58gr V-Max. It leaves a pretty nice hole in them so if you are looking to sell the fur I would not recommend it.

I have plenty of experience with the .243, just not on antelope. I'm heading to Colorado in 2010 for Antelope. I plan to use 90gr Remington Scirocco because ithas the exact same trajectory as my .300 WSM with 180gr Accubonds.

I use 100 grain corelockts for deer, though had decent results with 95 grain Nosler ballistic tips this year. I used some I believe 70 grain TNT hollow points a few years ago on coyotes. I wouldn't use them if your keeping hides, but if your just blasting them, the results were catastrophic.
