RE: crossbow scopes
I don't hava a LOT of experience with crossbow scopes ~ yet. I just mounted an Excalibur "Max Zone" scope on my Buckmaster MaxPoint (175# - 300fps+).
The Max Zone scope is rated for crossbows shooting over 300fps. For crossbows shooting under 300fps, they suggest the Excalibur "Drop Zone" scope. If these scopes are anywhere near the quality of their crossbows, watch out!
FYI ~ The Buckmaster MaxPoint is identical to the Excalibur Paradox. The Paradox is sold exclusively in Canada.

RE: crossbow scopes
I too have the buckmasters maxpoint, let me know how it works out for you chairman, does this scope have all the different yardage cross hairs and if so are the set for accuracy for bos above 300fps? I have a horton on right now and the 20 & 30 crosshairs ar right on but the 40 yrd cross hair is not evenclose, im not needing to raise xbow that much at 40 yrd crosshair, thee bolt goes right over so i need to guess a imaginary crossshair between the 30-40 yrd crosshair. thanx for replie

RE: crossbow scopes
I have never looked through a dot red dot scope and have a question concerning the different yardage shots with the dot scopes. How do they work/ hope this isn't a stupid question.

RE: crossbow scopes
As chairman stated, there are the two scopes which he has mentioned plus there is another from excalibur, it is the Vari-Zone. This scope you can dial in your arrow speed to correct the yardage markers in the scope. Alot of people really like this scope, plus they are not expensive, yet they stand up well.
My dad has the horton crossbow scope and I do not like it. I find all the lines just clutter the view, to many things to choose from. I like it simple. The Excalibur scopes have 4 yardage markers (20,30,40,50) but still do not clutter the view. BTW I believe that shooting at game over 40 yards should not be taken, just too much time for the animal to move to a non leathal hit.
About the red dot, yes they can be used. Some people just love that setup.
Hope this helps.
